How Waller protects your data
Waller is designed to store the financial records you create primarily on your own device. The app does not require a Waller cloud account to use its core features. This policy explains what you enter into the app, what can be included in local snapshots, backups, or exports, what limited data may be processed by app-store purchase providers, and what happens when you use optional device permissions such as photos, contacts, or biometric protection.
Information you enter in Waller
- Profile names, currency choices, account details, balances, categories, transaction entries, notes, and subscription records you create.
- Images or attachments you add to profiles, accounts, subscriptions, loans, or transactions.
- Imported files or restored backup content that you choose to bring into the app.
- Support emails or feedback you send to us directly.
On-device storage and backups
- Waller primarily stores your data locally on the device where you use the app.
- The app may create automatic local snapshots before certain data changes so you can restore a recent state on that same device.
- If you uninstall the app or clear its local storage, local app data and local snapshots on that device can be removed permanently unless you restore from a backup you saved elsewhere.
- Backups you create through the app can include your locally stored records on that device, and exported or shared files remain under your control after you save or share them.
- Each device keeps its own copy of data unless you manually move a backup or export file between devices.
Subscriptions and purchase data
- If you subscribe to Waller Pro, Apple App Store or Google Play processes the payment and manages billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules.
- Waller uses RevenueCat to retrieve available subscription offerings, purchase status, entitlement state, and subscription-management links.
- We do not receive or store your full payment card number in the app.
- The app may receive limited subscription-related information such as active entitlement status, product identifiers, and subscription management URLs.
Permissions and device features
- Photo-library access is requested only when you choose to attach, import, or edit images in the app. Depending on your device and the option you choose, camera access may also be requested when capturing a new image.
- Contacts access is requested only when you choose to import a contact from your device.
- Biometric or device-authentication features are used locally on your device to help protect app access when enabled.
- Basic device, store, or subscription metadata may be processed by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat during download, purchase, restore, and subscription-management flows.
How we use your information
- Operate the app features you use, including profiles, accounts, transactions, subscriptions, loans, categories, backups, and imports.
- Restore data from backups or local snapshots available on your device and export data when you ask the app to do so.
- Validate purchase status and unlock Waller Pro features when a store subscription is active.
- Respond to support questions, bug reports, or feedback you send to us.
How we share information
- We do not sell your personal data.
- Subscription and billing actions are shared with Apple App Store or Google Play because those platforms process the transaction.
- Limited purchase-state data is shared with RevenueCat so the app can show offerings, purchases, restores, and entitlement status.
- When you export, share, or back up data, the destination you choose controls what happens to that exported file after it leaves the app.
Support and legal disclosures
If you contact us for support, we may process the information you send in your email or message so we can answer your request. We may also update this Privacy Policy when the app’s behavior or legal obligations change. When we make material updates, we will revise the effective date on this page.
Retention and deletion
Most Waller data and local snapshots remain on your device until you edit, delete, export, back up, or remove them. If you delete the app or clear its local data, your on-device records may no longer be recoverable unless you saved a backup elsewhere. Purchase records, billing history, and certain subscription-management data may continue to be retained by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat under their own policies.
Security
- Waller relies on device-level protections, app-level lock options, and encrypted backup features where supported.
- No method of local storage, backup, or electronic transmission is perfectly secure.
- You should protect your device, operating-system account, exported files, and shared backups.
- If you believe your data or backup file has been exposed, contact support@voidsquare.co.
International processing
If you use app-store purchases or third-party services related to purchases and support, those providers may process limited data in countries outside your own under their own policies and safeguards.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete most information directly in the app.
- You can create and manage your own backups and exports.
- You can deny optional permissions such as contacts or photos, although related features may be limited.
- You can manage subscriptions through your Apple or Google account settings.
Children’s privacy
Waller is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has provided personal information through support or another direct channel, contact us so we can review the request.
Terms and contact
The Waller app Terms of Use are available at Terms of Use (EULA). If you have privacy questions, support requests, or deletion questions related to information you shared directly with us, email support@voidsquare.co.
