Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how VoidSquare ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Word Guess Blitz mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"). We designed Word Guess Blitz to be a fun, low-friction word game, and we collect as little personal information as possible.

1. Summary (plain English)

  • You don't need to sign up or give us your name or email to play.
  • We store your game progress and settings on your device.
  • We use a small number of third-party services — analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and in-app-purchase billing — that may collect limited device information as described below.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • You can reset in-app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.
  • Contact us any time at support@voidsquare.co.

2. Information we collect

a. Information you provide

  • Contact form: If you write to us via our website contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject, and message so we can reply.
  • Support communications: If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to share.

b. Information collected automatically

  • Device & diagnostic data: device model, operating system version, language, region, app version, crash logs, and performance metrics.
  • Gameplay data: non-identifying events about how the game is played (for example, which modes are used) so we can improve the game.
  • Advertising identifiers: depending on your platform and consent, limited identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID, or, on iOS, the IDFA only if you grant tracking permission via the Apple App Tracking Transparency prompt).
  • Purchase receipts: when you make an in-app purchase, the platform (Apple or Google) provides us with a receipt/transaction token so we can unlock your purchase. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

c. Information stored only on your device

  • Your game progress, preferences (such as theme selection), in-game currency balances, and settings are stored locally on your device.

3. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • To fulfill in-app purchases and prevent fraud or abuse of purchases;
  • To display advertising and, where applicable, rewarded video ads;
  • To diagnose crashes and fix bugs;
  • To understand which features are used so we can improve them;
  • To respond to your messages and provide customer support; and
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases: (a) contract — to provide the Service and fulfill purchases; (b) legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure, diagnose issues, and improve features; (c) consent — for advertising identifiers and certain analytics, which you can withdraw at any time; and (d) legal obligation — where required by law.

5. Third-party services we use

We use a limited number of reputable vendors to help us operate the Service. Each vendor processes information only for the purposes we instruct. Categories and examples include:

  • Platform billing & distribution: Apple App Store (Apple Inc.), Google Play (Google LLC) — delivers the app and processes in-app purchases.
  • Advertising (mobile): Google AdMob — may collect device identifiers to serve ads and measure ad performance, subject to your platform consent and, on iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
  • App reviews: native in-app-review prompts provided by the OS vendor.
  • Website — spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA on our contact form, which is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Website — email delivery: our mail server, used to deliver contact-form messages to us.

6. Advertising & your choices

The Service may display ads. On iOS, we request tracking permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, ads will be non-personalized. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads in Settings → Google → Ads. You can also learn more about ad choices at youradchoices.com and the Network Advertising Initiative at thenai.org. Where we offer an in-app purchase to remove ads, buying it will stop the display of ads in the app.

7. In-app purchases

The Service may offer optional in-app purchases (consumables, non-consumables, and, if introduced, subscriptions). Purchases are handled by the platform you downloaded the app from. We receive a purchase receipt/transaction identifier from the platform so we can deliver your purchase and prevent fraud; we do not collect or store your payment card number, expiration date, or CVV. For refunds, please use Apple — Report a Problem or Google Play Refunds.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it. The app is designed so that it does not require an account or personal details to play, and in-app purchases are gated by the platform-level parental controls provided by iOS and Android.

9. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

  • Contact-form messages: retained for up to 24 months, then deleted unless an ongoing issue requires us to keep them longer.
  • Purchase records: retained as long as required for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations.
  • Crash & diagnostic logs: typically retained for up to 12 months.

10. International transfers

We and our vendors may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect your information.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your information;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
  • Port your information to another service; and
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise these rights, email support@voidsquare.co. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

California residents

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) to know, delete, correct, and limit certain uses of your personal information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" as those terms are defined under California law. We do not sell personal information and we do not knowingly share personal information of users under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising without consent.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
